Are you worried about your health now and then?
Do you have complaints but nobody can tell you where they come from?
“Preventive medicine takes a close look at your life style, anticipating health risks, putting your mind and heart at rest, choosing a healthy life.”
Many statistics prove that a patient can be treated faster, easier and cheaper if particular clinical pictures are discovered early. Sometimes it can even save lives.

4 Visual material of a medical exam can serve as a reference for any physician during subsequent exams and help him follow up the evolution of clinical imagery, e.g. during chest exams (echo- and mammography).
5 During Royal Doctors medical check-ups the human being takes centre stage, not the test. At the end of the day, all results will be discussed with you.
6 The medical check-ups offered by Royal Doctors are carried out in specialised centres with state-of-the-art devices and are intrinsically supported by the most renowned international associations of physicians.
7 No harmful tests will be carried out during medical check-ups offered by Royal Doctors.
8 Safety above all
All exams in our formulas and in the Personal Programme are safe and carried out with the most modern devices according to the latest methods. In the framework of our preventive programmes no exams will be carried out which could harm you (We use NO X-rays!!!!).
9 Take your time
As you should turn up well rested and sober for the check-up, Royal Doctors recommends spending the night near the investigative centre. If you wish you can ask Royal Doctors to organise your stay (1 or 2 nights).
10 Under calm and professional supervision
Between each check-up exam you can retire to a nice room where you can rest, watch TV or work (Internet connections for your computer will be provided) in privacy. The room, lunch, beverages, professional guidance by Royal Doctors and an interpreter are included in every check up.
Royal Doctors prevention programmes will be carried out in different European examination centres in Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, France and Monaco.
A check-up is always personalised and tailor-made.
Top athletes require other check-ups than the elderly or persons with a family history of cancer. Your personal situation, i.e. the medical history of your family, is thus crucial for the elaboration of a tailor-made check-up.
Request your personal programme via E-mail or return to this form (and we will advise you free of charge).
The examinations listed below may be carried out in the framework of one of the check-up programmes. We wish to stress again that each programme will tailor-made by our doctors.
This is a preliminary discussion during which the physician will go over your and your family’s medical history. Your lifestyle, drug intake, work/leisure balance, complaints, etc. will be analysed.
This is an individual and personal clinical exam measuring basic parameters such as height and weight, Body Mass Index (BMI), blood pressure and heartbeat. The physician will also examine your nose, throat and ears, your posture, your limbs, back and spine and lungs (with a stethoscope). This clinical exam also foresees a neurological test which primarily serves the early detection of dementia.
These consist of blood, urine and stool tests based on your age and medical history.
A specialist checks your skin for any spots. If any melanomas (malign skin tumours) are detected, they may be a sign of skin cancer. ‘Malign melanoma’ are the most aggressive form of skin cancer and early detection is of the essence.
By analysing the exhaled air conclusions may be drawn as to the oxygen uptake in your blood. This exam also serves to determine lung elasticity.
An electrocardiogram (ECG) measures the electric activity of the heart, in the supine position and during physical effort (bicycle test). This allows to measure the heart’s rhythm and to discover arrhythmias. It also partially shows the history of your heart as an ECG can reveal lesions from old (sometimes unnoticed) infarcts.
This exam clearly shows the state of the heart valves, the thickness of the endocardium, the heart septum, etc.
An abdominal echography examines the abdominal organs as well as the aorta and the bladder. In the framework of stroke prevention, the blood supply from the carotid artery to the brain is checked by echography. Abdominal and carotid artery echoes overlap with MRI and MRA (see below). The latter exams provide a much better picture of the clinical reality. An echography is recommended in case MRI/MRA is contraindicated.
A specialised dentist examines, according to a programme developed by the L.D. Pankey-Institute in Miami (US), your teeth, oral cavity, salivary glands and mucous membrane of the mouth. Tumours of the tongue, palate and salivary glands strongly resemble aphthous ulcers and may only be detected early by a specialist.
During Magnetic Resonance Imaging extremely detailed pictures are taken of your body by means of harmless magnetism. MRI is therefore the choice to make tumours, abnormally formed organs, skeletal abnormalities, etc. visible. To obtain an overall picture of your body, a full body MRI is always foreseen in our programmes.
Magnetic Resonance Angiography will, by means of a non-allergenic contrast material, show a very detailed picture of your cardio-vascular system. Some cardiovascular diseases may not be detected without MRA. Finally, the MRA exam will look at the aorta, the big artery of the body, to detect a risk of coronary artery rupture and all organs coming into contact with the aorta (spleen, liver, kidneys and stomach).
After the exams, the physician will discuss all results with you in detail. He/she will surely advise you on the importance of a healthy lifestyle, balanced nutrition and right work/leisure balance and how to keep working on it.
